A Dead Heat occurs when two or more selections finish in the same position. If a Dead Heat or Draw occurs and wasn't an offered betting option, the payout is divided by the number of winners.
RACING EXAMPLE
For example, a $100 bet at $7.50 odds on a horse that ties with another will be paid at half the face value. In this case, the return would be calculated as $100 x 7.50 x 0.5 = $375.

SPORT EXAMPLE
If a sporting event finishes in a tie (or a draw) the same 'dead heat' rule applies. In this case, if you backed Collingwood or Essendon, you will be paid out as a win with odds halved (as there were two winning options).
