How to place a First Four – PointsBet Australia

To place a First Four bet, select your race and the First Four tab, choose four or more runners for first to fourth positions, and add them to your bet slip. Enter your stake and click "Place Bet." Payouts are based on the VIC TAB dividend, and the tote is shown on your pending bets page. If a runner is scratched, combinations involving it are refunded, while the rest of the bet remains active.

Step by step:

To place a First Four,

Select the race you'd like to place a First Four on.

Select the First Four tab.

Make your selections of four or more runners in the positions for first, second, third and/or fourth.

Click add to bet slip.

Enter in the amount you'd like to place your First Four.

Click Place Bet.

All First Four's will be paid on the dividend declared by VIC TAB. To find out which tote your First Four will pay, this will be shown on your pending bets page on the top right hand corner of the box.

The amount of applicable lines involving the scratched runner will be refunded, while the remainder of the bet will still stand.

For example, in the bet below, if runner #8 was scratched, all of the possible combinations that it could have been involved in will be voided (96 combinations in this example) and the remaining first 4 bet will stand with runners 1, 3, 4 & 6.
